HOW TO PREPARE BANGA SOUP🍲
Banga Soup is a special dish mostly common among the people of Delta state, Particularly the Urobo people. The spices are special and can be easily identified in the market as Banga Soup spices.
INGREDIENTS
I) 1 oz of palm kanel nuts
II) 1 Onions
III) 6 pieces of pepper (yellow pepper)
IV) Seasoning (Maggi, tyko, rogojie, obeletietien).
v) 1kg of beef meat🍗, goat meat, fish...
vi) 0. 5 oz of periwinkle (optional)
VII) 6 pieces of snails (optional)
VIII) 0. 5 stick of oburunbebe
METHOD
1) Boil palm Kanel nuts for 25minutes
2) Check the palm Kanel if soften, pour out water 💧💦 and extract oil by pounding the nuts with a mortar, after which, add some water💧💦
3) Put the extract in a pot 🍯 and boil for 30minutes .
4) Pound pepper, Tyko, Rogojie, Sprinkle few leaves 🌿 of Obeletientien, add all to the soup 🍲 , add a pinch of salt and seasoning, break the oburunbebe stick in the soup, these spices gives it a great aroma and taste.
5) Add the meats, fish, snail, periwinkle and boil for 15mins, after this, check seasoning if tasty. The soup 🍲 becomes thick. Remove the Oburunbebe (brown stick) . Save for another use.
6) Your Banga Soup🍲 is now ready 👌👌👌, you can serve with fufu or any recipe of your choice.
